Shrimp Paste Rice

I don't like food getting wasted. There are lots of hungry people all over the world. So, whenever possible, I eat all the available food.

Recently, I've noticed this shrimp paste on our dining table. My mom said it's too salty and it's not good for her. In my case, I don't have problem with salty shrimp paste but this one is just too salty.

So, one night, while I was thinking of what to eat,, I saw the shrimp paste again. The timing was just right because there's a lot of rice left. So, I thought of cooking "
shrimp paste rice".

It's quite easy to cook, all I need is garlic, shrimp paste, and cooked rice. I mashed the rice, then I put the shrimp paste into it and mix it thoroughly. Then, I sauteed the garlic and put the shrimp paste with rice. I didn't add salt because the shrimp paste is salty enough.

Korean Egg Roll

I'm in the mood to cook nowadays so I tried to cook Korean style egg roll. Actually, it's just a rolled omelet. I'm just quite fascinated by how it was done so I've tried it.

Since, it was my first time to cook an egg roll, I just used the available ingredients that can be found in my refrigerator. Here's what I did:

INGREDIENTS:
1 small onion, chopped into small squares
1 small tomato, chopped into small squares
3 eggs
1 pinch of ground pepper
1 pinch of salt

PROCEDURE:

1. Mix the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Put a small amount of cooking oil in a pan.
3. Pour the egg mixture and cook in a very low fire.
4. Once it's half-cooked, roll one part of it.
5. Move the egg to the center and pour more mixture.
6. Repeat procedures 3-5, until you're done.

Originally, based on what I've seen in Youtube, the cook used carrots and onion spring. She also added egg. If you'll add egg then it will be thicker.

Wait for the egg roll to cool down before cutting it.

Have you tried cooking Korean style egg roll?

Is PBB All In Scripted?

HASHTAG: PBB Scripted

It was the top trending topic last Sunday night, during the kick off of Pinoy Big Brother All In. The audience thinks that Pinoy Big Brother is scripted because most of the participants are rich kids or might have connections in ABS-CBN.

Just like what was said during the kick off, this edition of Pinoy Big Brother consists of three kinds of housemates: ordinary, teens, and celebrity.

The following are the housemates who are famous or related to someone famous:

Jane Oneiza
She is a celebrity managed by the network.

Nichole Baranda
She the daughter of TV host and model, Phoemela Baranda.

Michelle Gumabao
She was a famous volleyball player from La Salle

Axel Torres
He is the brother of a famous basketball player from La Salle, Thomas Torres

Bobby and Robert Solomon
They are twin brothers of Chariz Solomon from GMA network.

Alex Gonzaga
The newest PBB host.

Seven out of 18 housemates are famous or related to someone who is famous. It's not even half of the number of the housemates.

Hopefully, people will also notice the ordinary housemates like Aina, Cess, Chevin, Joshua, Jayme, Manolo, Maris, Ranty, Jacob, Loisa, and Vickie.

People were questioning ABS-CBN because those famous housemates didn't audition. Well, I've seen almost all PBB editions and I can attest that during the celebrity editions, housemates do not audition, they are chosen. Since this edition has all kinds of housemates, people shouldn't wonder why celebrities just got called instead of auditioning. It didn't make the others who auditioned lose their spot because they auditioned for ordinary and teen edition respectively.

How about you? Do you think PBB All In is really scripted?

Karylle Announces Her Engagement With Yael- Is this the end of ViceRylle love team?

Last February 8th’s opening of 'It's Showtime' was very heart warming as Karylle Tatlonghari announced her engagement with her boyfriend Yael Yuzon. Karylle told how much her 'Showtime' family accepted her and helped her become a better person. After her emotional gratitude speech, she announced that she and Yael will tie the knot in March 2014. The male 'Showtime' hosts serenaded her with wedding love songs.

Meanwhile, her love team Vice Ganda arrived late. People shouted for joy and excitement when Vice Ganda appeared in 'I am Pogay' portion, a contest for handsome gays. Though some of the co-hosts mentioned what happened during the opening, Vice Ganda didn't give any message for Karylle.

In observer's point of view, it seems like there's a gap between Karylle and Vice Ganda nowadays. I've read some comments from viewers stating that they seem not to be in good terms and the viewers could feel it. In my case, I didn't notice it until last Saturday.

So, what will happen to ViceRylle love team?

Well, we know that it will soon come to this. However, I don't see it as the end of ViceRylle love team. Since a love team as impossible as this happened, I believe it could continue no matter what.

So, to ViceRylle's out there, let's all be happy for Karylle and Yael while hoping for ViceRylle movie and/or drama soon.
